x100s prices?

...The seem to fluctuate wildly, from £650 to £1000 (new!) and then from £600 to £750 used!

And how come I often see USED models going for more? Is the price above too good to be true?

Yeah I might look second hand then. Thanks very much for the links. It look slike a nice camera but I'm going to have to try the split image focusing as it's going to be going head to head with my R-D1 and that's going to be a tall order.

I have the X100. Very nice camera. I purchased mine second hand from lce in derby. So I didn't pay as much as the S goes for. I'd suggest if you can get your hands on it do so. That way you'll know if it's worth the money. But your right prices do fluctuate from place to place and for different cameras.

Thanks guys for the replies and the link. Very helpful. I've been to play with the x100s recently in John Lewis and although I really like it, it's dawned on me that it isn't quite the experience I had hoped for, replacing a rangefinder system which I find so natural. If only you could use the split image view in the OVF. Maybe the X200...

I guess the only way to really know s to have one for a few weeks in the real world...
