Always, always the first thing I installed after Firefox.... now sadly to be no more as of Jan 2011. :shake:

Looks like we're going to be stuck with the awful Firefox Sync instead... some of the worst reviews I've seen of any addon. :help:

Trialling chrome at the moment, been fed up with firefox for a while seems it has become a victim of its own success

Tried Chrome but no good EXIF viewer meant it had to be relegated back to the 'maybe at some point in the future ' list....

I've never understood people's fascination with Firefox anyway. It's an unintuitive memory hogging bloated piece of crap, and the ONLY reason it has become popular is because at the time it was a viable alternative to Microsoft's festering IE 6. Now that MS have woken up again Firefox just doesn't look good anymore, and the sooner it is buried the better, imo.

Google Chrome is the worst of the lot though, it's nothing more than shameless adware, ending up on a lot of people's computers because it was bundled with another program. Most people's computers that I have looked that had Google Chrome installed, they had no clue why it was there or what it was.

So you'd rather use the total crap that is IE?

I moved from ff to chrome because its smaller and neater giving me more space for what I'm looking at, I'm loving the built in translator, the porn mode is nice too

Imo IE isn't too bad at all these days. IE 6 grew rather long in the tooth yes, but apart from its web standards it wasn't all that bad either.

The kinds of people who think IE is "total crap" are usually self proclaimed experts, or those who listen to self proclaimed experts. Work closely with Microsoft systems for a while (and particularly learn how much IE shines in domain settings) and you'll think very differently.

I think I kind of derailed the thread though...

Well, I've just moved to Chrome again today - a nice set of extensions now added (still no decent EXIF viewer though) and can sync all my gubbins without relying on Xmarks.... the lack of toolbar icons does take a bit of getting used to though...

....and maybe IE isn't crap these days, but I've got too many bad memories of it from years past to ever go back down that road....

Safari has a great EXIF viewer, I've been using this browser now for well over a year as Firefox became too slow.

Chrome has a rollover exif viewer that I'm using now.

Might not be as polished as some of the extensions on FF or IE8 but it does the job

Yup, just installed that one yesterday - still having problems with Chrome and TP though. Open TP and informed that I have new PM and would I like to open in a new window - answer 'yes' and it doesn't open a new window, but somehow manages to mark the PM as read before I can open the inbox in the current window?

Have added TP to allow popups, etc in Chrome settings, but still can't get it to open a new window or stop it marking the PM's as read..... which can be quite confusing once you actually open them in the window you are in, you aren't sure what's been read and what's not.

Not sure whats happening there, I have not had that problem once I allowed popups in TP. As a matter of fact just read the PM you sent me in a new window no probs :)
