I cannot fix a problem with eos utility not able to load on my xp machine, canon are looking into this but as the software works on my vista machine okay it must be the xp comp.

I am thinking of a re-install of xp or an upgrade to vista or windows seven if I can.

Any thoughts on doing this would be a help!
 
Can recommend windows 7, but whatever you do, avoid vista,

What processing power/memory does the XP machine have on it. Win 7 is my choice (64bit so I can use more than 4G) but it does need a little more memory to run nicely than XP did.
 
Some of the older computers may not run windows 7 as I understand it, you may want to check the minimum spec before spending any money.
 
I ran the W7 upgrade adviser and every thing seemed okay, it has a Pentium 4. 2.93 ghz processor, 144 gig hard drive and 3 gigs of ram.

If you can use a single upgrade package for xp and a vista machine, I might convert both to windows 7 and be done with. I only really use both comps for photo stuff and web browsing.

This EU problem is a bloody nuisance.
