Hi all

Gonna shoot some XP2 today (it's all I have in).

The massive dev chart says 21min at 1:9 for Ilfosol3 - that can't be right? Can it? I'm sure I read somewhere that it should be developed as HP5 - that would be 5min!

Heyulp!

I thought XP2 was meant for C41 chemicals. You'll probably get something from B&W chemicals but it won't be great. (I can do Agfa Vista in Rodinal but it's way down on contrast.)

Seems a bit of a waste to do it in b&w, would you not lose some of the advantages of c41 processing like ice and it's legendary latitude?

As it stands I've done Vista in rodinal for an hour at 1+100 but that doesn't really help...

Ta for the replies. I ended up getting hold of some FP4 at Wilkinsons in Bury :)

As steveo says, it would be a bit of a waste to cross process but just for your info for the record it's totally possible.......C-41 films (colour or b&w) in Rodinal ( or other b&w chemistry, LC29, HC-110 etc ) 1:100 solution semi stand for an hour will give results though the negs lack contrast. not a big deal as they can be pulled back in pp.
