I do hope 20 pics is not OTT. I had a nice time, free lunch, and, being a bit old & wobbly, was offered a seat. Lovely people.

Excellent photos! Every single one of them, including the Police.

I am not at all surprised that the protesters were kind to you, but.... I'll keep my comments strictly to the photography and not voice my observations about the protesters!

You have captured a nice range of facial expressions and characters - Great portraits.

Out of curiosity, what camera+lens were you using? They were obviously comfortable with you taking photos or were you dressed up as a festival going like most of them? :D

I've recently gone M43, have a cheapo set-up: GX80+panasonic 45-150mm, compact, discrete, lightweight, tilt-up screen, I love it.

These people are there to be photographed, that's the whole idea. So easy peasy people pics.

I'm still getting to know the set-up. Some are a bit tight in the frame. There's room for cropping, must bear that in mind in future.

.... I think that your tight framing adds a lot of strength to the pictures and consequently may look more dynamic.

The tight framing (in many of them) is about throwing out the background with a cheap lens.

#1 for example ... maybe it would have been nice to have the option of including the guy's medallion thingy.
#2 ... the guy stands out quite nicely (against a BG of interest) but to include the cowbell he's hitting, might have been nice.

... self critique is never a bad thing. ;)

Thanks @RedRobin :giggle:
