Can anybody please help???

Pete can log into his Yahoo but everytime he tries to get into his mail it comes up" error code#1" .He has tried every way possible to get to his mail but with no joy. He has even formattted his P.C. this afternoon but still no luck.He managed to get into his A/C but it was asking for payment by CC.
Yahho is free???????
He cant even get back into T.P. because his password is in his mailbox in Yahoo .We are at this moment trying to get him another password sent to another E-Mail A/C .
We think it must be a virus or some kind of internal problem in Yahoo but they wont answer e-mails sent relating to the problem.
So if there is anybody out there that has heard about this problem and can help we would be grateful
Eileen and Pete

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071024094946AAXDD0k - that might work?

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=Yahoo+Error+#1&btnG=Google+Search&meta= - seems a pretty common problem, has he tried going through them as it seems it can mean a few different things

Jimmy
We have tried all this and even e-mailing Yahoo but they haven't replied. We have been googling for answers all afternoon but no-one seems to know an answer although it seems quite a few people have had the same problem.

Just phoned Yahoo helpdesk or should I say unhelpfull desk as they say its a Virgin media problem????? how the hell do they get that as my yahoo opens everything exept my mail

I think if you could have seen the problems this was causing on my PC you probably would have done the same as it caused crashes every 5 mins even when the internet wasnt on but task manager always brought up yahoo for a strange reason

If that's the case then it sounds to me that the PC is at fault and not Yahoo. Can you log into any other web services like flickr or hotmail?

After the format everything is running fine even yahoo is fine apart from the fact my mail is still dead so spoke to a yahoo bod at yahoo and he has managed to replicate my problem and even he cant open my mail so all the details have been sent to there IT and engineers to find out what has happened as they say this case is a first and want to sort it before anyone else gets it

Just been back on to the advisor dealing with this and it has now been reffered to the highest level in the engineering dept and it looks like somehow my account has been hacked and the email closed yet my yahoo account is running normal so will keep you posted as to the outcome (why anyone would want to hack me ?????)

AHA I have my email account back.....BUT 2 credit card numbers belonging to someone in Glasgow have been found in my premium services???? I dont have any premium services so yahoo are checking to see what has been bought through my account but it shows just how easy someone can get into your account and do things that you dont know is happening I have the persons card details and the address so maybe I should write them a letter????
