Morning All,

I just got myself a Yashica Minister III rangefinder, it's in great condition cosmetically but unfortunately the shutter is jammed. I've checked the internet and it does appear to be a fairly common problem and a relatively easy fix for those with the skills, I certainly don't have those skills so does anyone know of someone that could fix this? Obviously this is only a cheap camera so I don't want to spend a fortune, if it's going to be too expensive it will just become a camera shaped paper weight.

London based would be easiest but I would be happy to post it to get it sorted.

Ivor Matanle (AP's classic camera expert) always seems to recommend Ed Trzoska (tel: 0116 267 4247) for classic camera repairs - probably worth a phone call for a guestimate.

Nick, I know of a guy in Devon, who is good and doing a CLA on my Contax IIa at the moment.

Is well priced, but a Minster is only 30 ish quids to buy, and it'll cost more to pay for postage and fix it.

I can give you his name if you want

Thanks Guys,

I'll check them out.
