A Yellow Underwing moth having a late night meal on the Buddlea in the darkness.

The first four are hand held, the final one was tripod mounted, with 2 extension tubes.

Thank you Bryn.

Like a total nutter, I was scouring the garden with a torch! I had to shine the light on the moth to be able to get the camera to auto-focus - without the torch it was almost pitch black out there.

Lovely sharp images mate. Very well done especially when struggling for focus or having to juggle a torch as well :) I have a head torch and tried that but the darn flash diffuser gets in the way. I think I need to mount it on the camera somewhere for later evening shots :).
