Still lovely to see. I hear them calling frequently near the little owls so I assume there are a few around the area. This from around there?

HI Pete ..they are all around the hedgerows - this one was near the Ouzels on Wast Hills.

Just appreciate you have them to photograph Keith, I agree with Christopher, another species that was around when I was younger but never see one nowadays around here. No doubt they may be about but you would have to be lucky to see one. Good natural capture

Great photo, makes you wonder what its looking at. Personally, not sure if I've ever seen a yellowhammer, great to see what wildlife is around.

Thanks everyone for you kind comments......yes we are lucky to have them everywhere around here...I am always astounded that birds as colourful as this live in Britain.
