I've been on the look out for an 80-200mm for some time now, thinking AF-D but an AF-S would be nice for the improved focus speed and silent operation. Following all the s/h shops (well maybe not quite all) for changing stock and Ebay for possibles.... then 'Hey I found just the one for me' on the Bay. With box, case and hood all almost as new, and took the plunge! At the price of the AF-D new from Camerabox +£20
This thing is in perfect condition with the smallest of marks on the tripod collar that have now been removed so it's spotless
.
I've had a very quick play in the back garden in the rain
and I'm EXTREMELY happy with the instant focus lock and sharpness wide open
Even down at 1/80" @ 135mm handheld on the shot, the result is good (I think the weight of this thing helps with shake too LOL)
So, my first shot!
and a 100% crop
I can't wait for the rain to stop and get out there for some real fun with this. I'm over the moon, like a dog with two..... tails
