Hi Good people of Talk Photography,

I have a very strange issue with the YN568ex. I'm unable to use it in ITTL (Nikon) the flash fires but it does not aper in the exposure. If I use the flash in manual made it works correctly.

I have looked and the camera is not set to Commander mode and if I use another flash it exposes correctly.

I have set the settings on the flash to default but it has made no difference.

Please help this is driving me nuts.

Hi Paul - if you're using the flash off-camera with iTTL, and using the pop-up on the camera to talk to it, then the camera needs to be in commander mode (with a group set up to do TTL flash, matching the group on the flash).

No I have it on camera oot off. I have read the Link given and now tried in manual mode and it will only fire at 100% power. Looks like its faulty. I will attempt a repair as the link recommends.
