Yongnuo and Nikon

Hi All

this may seem a bit of strange one but...

I shoot canon, but soon to be Nikon

I use the YN622TX transmitter and the YN622c receivers on a pair of YN568EX flashes.

So the entire set up is yongnuo.

If I shoot Nikon, and buy the Nikon YN622TX, will that be able to communicate to the current YN622C (Canon) receivers and the yn 568EX (canon version)

Do all components have to be the 'Nikon' version.


Will I have to sell the TC, the receivers and the 2 flash guns and replace with the Nikon versions?

if I could get away with just swapping out the YN622TX from the canon to the Nikon that would be great...

i am guessing the whole setup will need to be replaced as Nikon and Canon won't operate on the same coding of the infra-red information.
 
hmm

that's a shame

I was hoping that once the camera had talked to the transmitter, the signal to the receivers would have been Yongnuos own data as opposed to passing through the canon / Nikon data...if that makes sense...

I should hopefully have a Nikon soon so will give it a try..
 
It looks like you would need a new transmitter and the two Nikon receivers, as Richard said.
