Yongnuo remote releases?

Anyone got one and are they any good? Seen some on ebay for about 10 with the digital screen with timer delay and exposure timer functions. Looking to get one for my Nikon D300.
 
by all accounts, they're good.
I have a yongnuo shutter release, but it's not the one with the timer and only cost about £2.40 from ebay.
Which ones cost £10 - because the tc-80c1 intervalometer I was looking at was around £20.
 
I've one very very similar if not identical - used it briefly on a D300s & on my D700...

It does the job if thats what you want to know about it.... Think I paid that new iirc (but that was last year thou)

Just wanted to make sure it all works ok but at that price if it doesn't I won't lose much sleep! Bit cheaper than the Nikon genuine one though!
 
If I used mine alot (which I dont) I was going to get the wireless version but cant really warrant £39 on something that I'm not going to use that often....

:thinking: Saying that I could say that about my entire camera gear :$ :lol:

Just make sure that you get the one that compat with the D300 thou - which I'm sure that you will do :p
 
I have the Phottix branded version.. same model as the Yongnuo just with a different name. Does the job very well, totally reliable.

I briefly misplaced it and bought a replacement.. same thing with yet another brand name printed on it. Piece of junk, has a dodgy contact in the connector plug. One day I'll get deperate enough to dismantle the plug and fix the dry joint.
 
I have one too, but looks a little different. have only used it on 3 or 4 occasions but always did what it should.
 
I have one for my D700. Its been bashed around a lot and works fine. I had one for my D90 too, and D200.
The shutter release works without batteries in, so Ive never actually used the rest of the functions as Ive never put batteries in it.
