Looking at the RF-603 which appears to have a dual-mode tx/rx, so does that mean one can be used in place of the CTR-301P wireless flash trigger which was bundled with RF-602 on eBay, etc? Does anyone have experience with the RF-603 and can confirm they are no worse than the RF-602?

I Have 4 as they come in a box of 2. Each is both a tx and an RX so if you have 4 you can use 1 as the X and the other 3 as RX.

They use AAA battaries which is much better than the fancy ones used in the 602.

Only down sides are they can not be sued with the pocket wizard compatible trigger in my Sekonig light meter and there is no test fire button on the 603.

They do limit the sync speed compared to direct cable triggaring but thats common with wireless triggars.

Also if your looking to use with 602's just bear in mind that they're not compatible
