Yongnuo Rf602/603 Questions.

I currently have 1 rf602 Tx and 2 602 Rx's.

However, I have been watching some of Bryan Peterson Youtube videos in which he uses 2 (I think) Pocket wizards. He has one attached to the camera and one attached to the flash, but the camera is on a tripod and he must fire the pocket wizard that's attached to the flash to obviously fire the flash, but also trigger the camera.

I want a similar setup with the RF602/603. I may consider selling the rf602's and get the 603's, but is this setup possible with either the 602/603?

Just read a review on the 603 and someone says it isn't possible?

Also, how would the setup work with either the rf602/603's?
 
I would have thought that you set the one 603 (in your hand) as the transmitter and it will fire the other two which automatically change to recievers, one being connected to the camera via a shutter release cable and the other to fire the studio light.

At least whats I think they should do, as I was looking at getting some myself.

That's what I thought, but seen images that it can be done with two, but read reviews that it doesn't actually work. Hmmmm.
 
With my 603s I can have one flash on a 603 in my hand, and the other on the camera, then press the shutter release on the flash mounted one, firing the flash and camera. Is this what you want to do?

That's exactly what I want to do!. I assume you have to have a cable from the unit to the actual camera as well?
 
yeah, I bought a pair off of amazon, and it came with the cable to go from the 603 to the camera body (550d).
 
Before you dash out and buy a completely new set of triggers, learn what your own kit can do first.

You need an extra Tx and a £5 shutter trigger lead, and the 602's will do what you want. More in fact, because they can trigger a remote shutter from the hotshoe which the 603 can't.
