I would like to buy a flash trigger so that I can use my yongnuo 560ii with a shoot through umbrella. Is this possible, and if so could you recommend one please.

I bought a set. mine only work up to 1/25 . can't be bothered to send it to china for a test. I've heard the same about their products - many of them don't work. so, it's probably best to buy from uk seller. peace of mind.

I have the Yongnuo RF-602s, no complaints - they're cheap and work reliably for me.

nothing wrong with my 602's...although I do have to mount the transmitter backwards on the hotshoe to prevent misfires

You could also use optical slave mode to fire the second flash.

I just got some of these, recommened from a user on TP, working great for me. I went for 3x RF 603's thou, which only cost about 5 pounds more from ebay

Used YN04 triggers with 560ii flash 100% hassle free, but also had a 460 that was DOA.

4737carlin, is this what you got, and is this all I need or do I need something else. I've never used anything like this and I'm stuggling to imagine how I would actually set the flashes off.

When set to S2 (slave 2) the flash will fire whenever it sees another flash, even your pop-up.

Digitalrev have a video detailing how this can be achieved while masking the output from the pop up, and just using it to trigger the off-camera unit.
