Hello

I have a RF-602TX and 3 RF-602RX the wireless trigger and receivers

now the lights are on but they are not triggering off the flash guns...

does this mean they are faulty or am i doing something wrong they have worked no problem before they have just stopped working last night

Have you accidentally knocked one of the channel switches so that TX and RX are not on the same frequency? Is the flash seated properly in the receiver and locked into place? Do the receiver lights illuminate when you fully press the test button on the TX? Are any of the batteries at risk of being tired and weak?
 
all of the chanel switches are behind plastic and nothing hapened from the day b4 when they was working fine...
the batteries have been changed and still not working

I have tried 2 different flashes and they both not working with it

the TX is flashing green and then turns ted when fully pressed and the RX is just flashing red but not doing anything else

Just a few things to check
Which flashes, some of the old ones eat rf602s
Have you checked the tx and the rx batterys
Have you disabled flash in the camera menu
Do they fire from the test button

If the flashes are failing to trigger on all three receivers, it's highly unlikely that all three have failed simultaneously, did you change the battery in the trigger, or is it still running on the "test" one that is supplied with the set?
 
It's a new cr2 battery in the trigger It is an energiser cost me £8!!
It was only replaced about 3 weeks ago and has been working fine for the past 3 times Iv used it in them 3 weeks just last night it stopped working
 
Have you tried another battery anyway?

That doesn't mean the battery isn't duff :shrug:

As I said previously, it's highly unlikely that all three RX units have suffered identical failures at the same time, so you need to work through every variable until you find out where the problem lies.

Firstly, what make/model of flashguns are you using? Does either flash have a Slave setting?

When you tested the RF602s with the different flashguns, were there fresh batteries in the flashes?

Did you use a different set of batteries in each flash or the same set?

How fresh are the batteries in the Rx units? What make/type are they?

Ideally what you then need is another set of RF602 that are known to be good and try swapping components between the sets.
 
I'd try a new battery in the TX. 3 weeks isn't new but would expect it to be fine depending on usage. I had the same with mine, went back after couple of weeks and not working. Dunno if the TX slowly discharges the battery over time, or maybe sitting with the test button pressed. Wish they put an on/off switch on the TX like the RXs; I've started taking the battery out when packing it away and no issues since.

If you leave the Rx turned on for a long time (hour or so) without receiving a fire signal they seem to get confused. Bizarrely the answer seems to be to remove the battery from the Tx (yeah the transmitter) for much longer than you think necessary. At least a minute. Lots of people never hit this because they store them with the batteries out.

Since that thread I now remove the Tx battery when setting up lights then they are ready to go. They have locked out on me once more when I had lights set but didn't use them for a while (model was in makeup).

Sync appears to drift as well - if you're using them all day then it makes sense to reboot them by removing the battery every couple of hours or so. I've had a studio light firing at the wrong time for the shutter after 3+ hours of use.
