Yongnuo YN460 not triggered by PT-04??

Ive got a set of PT-04 triggers, 1 trigger, 2 recievers.

Now both recievers fire my 580exII, but neither will fire my YN460! :thumbsdown:

I've tried changing batteries, changing reciever etc, all to no avail! I've had a look arround online and cant find any compatability issues, with several people saying this combo works fine!!

Just another point, the flash works on-camera perfectly

When the 580 is on a reciever and its turned on, when i turn the reciever on, the flash fires. This doesnt happen with the yn460.

I've read some issues of quality with these flashes (and with a £36 price tag, you can see why). Have I maybe got a duff item??

If the YN is firing on-camera then it sounds more like the issue is with the trigger, however if the trigger works fine with the 580 then that rules the trigger out as well

Try rocking the YN460 back and forward on the hotshoe of the PT-04 and see if it fires- I used to get a situation with my SB600s on the older "Cactus" type of trigger where they either wouldn't fire or would go off randomly on their own.

Eventually I traced it to the small piece of tin that holds the flash in place on the receiver, it had become weak and was preventing a good connection.

A small cardboard spacer under the tin clip solved the problem....
