YongNuo YN560 III Opinions??

Morning everyone, I'm looking at getting my first flashgun and I don't want to spend hundreds on my first so have been trawling the Internet and found a few people recommending YongNuo and then found the 560 III for a decent price on Amazon, so is it any good and worth 50 earth pounds? Opinions and reviews will be much appreciated or other options!

I got a 568EXII from Amazon last week - works a treat on my Canon 7D, more powerful & customisable than the Caanon 430EXII it replaced & only 85£. Also got YN 622 ETTL triggers - lovely!

Only criticism is that the thumb wheel for locking it down onto the hotshoe can be a little fiddly, otherwise a great speedlight and a good price.
 
I have both the 560III's and the 565EXII's. The 560's are great for doing portraits and work where you can easly conrol the power and have the time to do so. The 560's are full manual too, meaning you won;t have the option for an auto exposure frm the flash. But the 565EX are a little more expensive, but offer TTL modes, which can be invaluable. My advice wuld be to save a little more and get the 565EX II.

Thanks for your input :) So is the TTL mode where it changes the exposure in relation to the cameras settings?

Yeah, TTL is the "auto" mode, so the flash will listen to commands from the camera to adjust flash power etc.

I have the 568 EX II and a couple of 622 Triggers and it's a great setup for far less than the big brands cost. Just make sure you buy the correct version for your camera as the TTL connections are different.

Ah right thanks for that I'll have a look into it! A friend of mine said that the YongNuo's aren't fully utilise all the features that a canon or nikon flash may??
