Finally the Yongnuo YN622N for Nikon have been released. Approx £64 delivered from China! Quite fancy giving these a try.
Has anyone used the Canon equivalent and if so are they any good?

I have the Canon equivalent, it's great. For the £55 I spent, I get full feature radio wireless TTL flash, AF-assist (5D2 seriously need) and best of all it uses standard AA batteries.

Had it miss-communicate a few times (I can count in one hand) by firing the flash full power instead of TTL. Apart from that, it's been flawless.

I am a total flash newbie. Would this give equivalent features to a Nikon flash on a D3100? What's the downside?

edit: I am a moron too. Could I pair these with a cheap flash and get equivalent to Nikon flash/remote commander?

I have 2 pairs of YN622C and occasionally they stop talking - nothing a quick reset doesn't cure. Also recently had 1 that refused to test fire the others, but then I realised you can specify which group and channel the test button works on (which may not be the channels you are working on :-D )

Never had any misfires, and AA's seem to last a really long time.

Going to order myself 3 of these today to use and my next few weddings! Checking out some youtube reviews, looks fantastic
