A couple of shots from inside the Minster which is a really nice place to spend a few hours. Growing up in York you take the place for granted but coming back as a tourist is good fun.

1) York Minster's Nave

I used a Novoflex Minipod to set up low to the ground to emphasise the scale of the building, I considered correcting the verticals of the shot but it lost its impact.

2) York Minster Chapter House Roof Detail

A shot using the 5D3's internal HDR mode, laid on my back, handheld using ISO1600.

A couple of cracking shots but the rooof shot is superb

Both excellent images, the control over exposure is superb.

If you had just rotated the camera ccw a tad on the roof shot to get it symmetrical would have made it near on perfect imo.

Two fantastic shots, what an interior. Seriously don't know how they
Built these things with so much detail, they must have had thousands of drawings!

Beautiful shots, It looks like you had the whole place to yourself.

No 2 is superb, quite mesmerising really. The detail and sharpness is stunning.

Both cracking shots Mark!

That HDR of the roof is very good! Nice little feature! :)

Superb shots Mark, I've though about going there myself, do they have any rules about using tripods? or is it best to go when it might not be busy.

Both really good pictures, however no2 much better for my taste!
