Question, on You Tube I have had a video marked “Matched third-party content.” What does this mean for me, should I ignore it, or take the video down?
It’s a film of a local singer at a charity do.
Rhodese.
The music will be copyright of the singer or whoever wrote it so unless you've got their permission to reproduce it then you've probably breeched their copyright.
It'll be you.. you've recorded the cover and uploaded it.
YouTube won't really care unless you try to monitise the video.. it'll just say there's matched 3rd party content, it'll even tell you what that content is.
You'll find too that if you get those warnings on your videos, you won't be able to watch it on a mobile device, or at least that's been my experience.
