Young Barn Owl

While I was at our local show last week I took the opportunity to capture this lovely young barn owl while sitting on his handlers arm.

Hi Andrew, I don't know why you think that this is exactly the way he was, all I have done is sharpened and brightened the photograph a little. I googled barn owls and there are some like him all I know was that he was young but I don't know how young or old as the case may be.

There are sub-species of barn owls which are different colors to the normal barn owls, the darker ones are called ashey faced barn owls.

Thanks for that Gary just googled Ashy Faced Barn Owls and I would say that is what this fellow is.
