Nice composition and exposure, normally I would say the BG should be oof but in this case it looks just great.
As for the hind she does look curious but with a nervous lean that looks like she is just about to turn tail and run away.

She was very nervous but show her an apple and she comes close. To be honest its better that way, she should have a natural fear of humans.
