Your advice for new tripod please

I'm wanting a new tripod to replace my velbon travel one.

It's been great little tripod but it's just too annoying to get setup quick due to the type of legs or has and also just not sturdy enough.

I want something that will allow me to do timelapse photography and long exposure photography without wobbling in the wind and ruining the photos. Also must be travel friendly.

I haven't got a massive budget but was just wanted to know your views on which to get.

I use a Manfrotto 055XPROB, http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-manfrotto-055xprob-tripod/p1019760 and Manfrotto 496RC2 ball head, http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-manfrotto-496rc2-ball-head/p1033011 approx £160 for both, great for macro as it goes level with the ground its well made and solid as a rock, also its sturdy enough to use a gimbal head and long lens

I use a RS 324 alloy tripod and RSH 24 head which is a sturdy combination.

Neither of those are great for travel, although they are great tripods (I've used the Manfrotto and own the RedSnapper).

With tripods you can only have two of the following:

Sturdy
Light (aka travel friendly)
Cheap

Maybe a Benro travel angel would be a good option, but the real bench mark are the Gitzo Travellers, which the Benro's copy.

I notice MPB have got a used Gitzo Traveler in, a bit dear really but they are as good a compromise between folded size, sturdiness & weight as you can hope to find. They open out reasonably tall as well, but once the centre column is up stability falls dramatically.
