Your bucket list

Diving with hammerheads in the Galapagos.

I did most of my bucket list before starting family.

One with a sturdy handle as anything else would pail into insignificance.

Oh Lordy. Bucket jokes at this time in the morning

There's a hole in my bucket, dear liza.

(showing my age now, sheesh)

Thanks. Still saving and will be for quite some time...not cheapest of challenges!

Whats on yours?

Whats on yours?

:)

I guess I've already ticked off a few - including ->

1. Have kids
2. Get a pilot's license
3. Fly supersonic
4. Sky dive
5. Travel (Australia, US, Scandinavia, etc)
6. Dive Great Barrier Reef
7. Own a V8 (silly I know!)

What's left to do ->

1. Find a new career
2. See the kids grow up happy - possibly graduate
3. Tour Scotland with the Mrs (once kids have left home)
3.5 Route 66
3.6 Go on a cruise
4. Have a studio
5. Live in a house I like - one on the edge of mountains
6. See the Northern lights
7. Drive an F1 car
7.5 Follow the F1 teams for a whole year
8. Drive at over 200mph
9. If safe, travel to Russia and Afghanistan

Some silly stuff there :)

You've been to Australia and haven't toured Scotland yet? You need to google where Scotland is

Sounds a pretty awesome list. I don't have one... Work too hard and fully expect to be dead before I'm 50 so that the wife can have a life of luxury... :help:

Haven't you noticed that the wee drive round Scotland is the only one that includes Mrs Dav ... not the cruise, or Route 66 or the Northern Lights or the house Dav likes with the mountains or ... :naughty:

Mrs Dav is definately invited to all of my bucket list entries :)

I think most of mine have been covered:

Travel Route 66 on a Harley Davidson

Tour Alaska
Learn to dance and not be embarrassed

Most are unacheivable these definitely are:

See the earth from space
Go to the bottom of the Mariana Trench
Go to the top of Mount Everest
Marry Kylie Minogue

:)

Nice list of 'achieved and still to do' there! We share several of them apart from the kids thing! ;)

private pilots license is my high up on my list too but want to do the bike thing first, and if the bike thing goes wrong then I dont need to worry about the rest of my list!:D

This is contrary to your crumpet comment - you've lost all credibility now Joe.

I once knew a fella whose list would be:
1) the crack of dawn
2) anything that moved
3) anything that wasn't dead but lying still

See the Northern Lights within the Acrtic Circle (seen them from Scotland, not quite same)
To capture a huge electircal storm on camera.
Goto the North Pole and the South Pole.
Travel through the Canadian wilderness on horseback.
Visit the Mayan pyramids in Mexico.
Go on safari in Kenya.
See the mountain Gorilla's before they are wiped out.
Swim in the Great Barrier Reef.
Swim with dolphins, whales and sharks.
Climb up both towers on the Forth Road Bridge using the cables that hold it together.
Drive any sports car/super car round Silverstone and Spa-Froncorchamps
Ultimately, see planet Earth from space.
I'd die happy seeing the last one.

India.....for as long as possible!! :)

That'll be six months then...and then yer out!! :)

Put me down to India too and throw in another couple of balloon rides again too.

Visit Scotland - Oban, that kind of thing just to practice photography and to pig out of soda scones, 'proper' pancakes, tablet etc..

Visit Africa - but West (Ghana, Togo etc)

Visit Antartica

Cuddle an elephant

swim with a dolphin

Hug a gorilla

So I see Joe!

Having met both Tom Tiler and Joe Mayo, it is easy to tell the difference between the two.

One will tile your bathroom for you. The other will come round and photograph it in natural light :) Both will however argue the toss afterwards :)
