Without checking out every lens in person its hard to know how it will be before you buy one. I need your experiences with your lens that cost £250-£300 for Canon. Its not the best budget in the world but I would love to get a nice sharp lens with this money.
Im looking for a walk about lens. May need to do a little more saving but ill keep my eye open for bargains.

So what's your experiences with yours. :)

I got a second hand 70-200mm f4 non-Is for that which I have used as my walkabout.

Now it's not your typical focal lengh for that but I love mine and prefer a bit of distance from my subjects and the extra reach of the 200mm.

The white colour does attract some attention though....but for £300 you'll not find much better (if they can still be had for that and you don't mind the range).

My wife has the 28-135 IS and that is pretty good as well and more suited to 'normal' walkabout focal lengh.

Good luck

Al
