Hi all and thanks for looking.

Interested in comments on this one - was a tad tricky to take as I had no tripod with me and it was blowing in the wind. Add that to a MF lens!

I used my fairly recently-acquired Zeiss 100mm Makro Planar for this - I like the way it renders colours and the transition from in to out of focus.

liking the shot, i might have gone for the whole leaf in focus- im undecided on the attendance of the fly though....
 
Nice use of the DOF. Like the focus point. I wonder though if it would work better without the fly ?

Thanks for your comment - I'm not sure the fly is central to the appeal of the shot.

Thanks - I guess having the whole leaf in focus would have diminished the bokeh (and may actually have been impossible given the fairly close-range of the shot). I rather like the way parts of the leaf fade in and out of focus.
