Zenith E SLR Help

Hello.

I just spoke to my Dad on the phone and he's just informed me he has about £5,000 worth of old SLR lenses from the late 70's.

However, bless him, he cant remember what make the Lenses are as they are in the loft.

The fitment was Screw in for the Zenith E??

Having not investigated the traditional SLR area I dont know. Would anyone know what fitment they would of been? AND more importantly what would they fit now??

I still have all my old cameras and I have a zenith too it is a 42m thread known as M42.

Can get adaptors, but lenses are totally manual, just go to Google and type M42 Adaptor in lots of choices lol

brilliant thanks. Thought id ask someone with more expereince.

My dad said he has 300mm-900mm telephoto, 3x and 4x T/C, 1:1 macro lenses etc etc so im quite excited. he kept that quiet........

You should be able to make use of those, this is the thing you need to fit them to a Canon.

Zenit E uses M42 system mount, just like our colleagues said. You can connect M42 lenses to pretty much anything; almost every system has an adapter for it. Congratulations.

Make sure you buy a "Genuine Pentax" adapter ring, a lot of the 3rd party ones will not allow focus to infinity. £23.51 inc registered P+P from Pentax UK
