Is it me or does the name just shout exotic? This tiny bird, formally known as a Fantail Warbler, is far from exotic on mainland Europe and beyond, though a rarity in the UK. They are not particularly easy to photograph, they rise up lark like to sing then vanish back into the scrub, occasionally they'll sit and pose on a stick. This one was taken at Es Carnatge, an area of waste land that lies between the runway and sea at Palma airport on Mallorca.

Hi Stephen and welcome to the forums.

Always nice to see birds from other parts of the world, thanks for sharing.

That's a nice picture Stephen and the story does help with the enjoyment of the picture, IMO. Well taken and well presented :D

Very nice wildlife capture Stephen.
