ZoneAlarm & Windows Update issue!!!

This is equipment in a way? Besides if you don't know you won't be able to see the website anyway. (Posted originally in the out-of-focus forum)

Just a quick note to any of you that use ZoneAlarm and run windows.

The new windows update released today IS NOT COMPATIBLE with ZoneAlarm and if you install it then you will lose your internet connection. To re-connect you will have to do either of the following;

set your firewall to medium (not recommended)
turn off zonealarm (def not recommended)
uninstall the update (KB951748)

Thank god it's not just me....
Spent ages tryinh to figure out what was going on, ranted at the kids for installing any old crap they can find, and ended up setting it at medium until I could figure it out properly....

That'd be the same update that decided to reboot my machine sometime in the middle of the night without saving any of the stuff I was working on.......

yep had same problem, just back dated the computer.
