I've been using a Sigma 100-300mm f4 lens for years.

Its been a great quality lens, even if the autofocus can be a bit slow and struggles in low light.

Its starting to get a bit worn out though now and I'm looking for a replacement, but there doesn't seem to be anything in that zoom range and / or with a constant aperture. A straight f/4 like this lens would be fine, f2.8 a big bonus.

Any recommendations?.

Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8?

Never understood why Sigma stopped making the 100-300mm f/4, fabulous lens even wide open.I still have mine but unfortunately Sigma don't service them any longer as they have run out of spare parts.

As Stewart says, the only constant aperture telephoto zoom is the 120-300mm f/2.8 which tbh is a bit of a beast. Of course there is the Canon 200-400mm f/4 but I'm guessing that may be out of reach price wise

Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8?

Haha yes. That fits the bill, aside from huge weight and cost, which explains why everything else is limited to f/5.6.
