Hey guys, at the moment i've got a d3100, kit lens, nikon 50mm 1.4, sigma 10-20 and lookin at a tamron 17-50 2.8 or sigma 24-70 as a walk around/replace my kit lens as I always have my 50 on my body but find it restrictive with the boys.
But I also find I need more reach on zoo trips & f1 ect, I've borrowed a mates nikon 70-300 vr in the past but think I need sumthing faster? Options please

Can highly recommend the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR II, its a fantastic lens and one I always reach for when heading out

No doubts the VRII is the daddy but you'll need a grip on your body or it'll be horribly unbalanced.

Same for most 70-200's in my opinion.

What's your budget ?

70-200 vr2 - secondhand a really good price (in mint condition) is £1000 +

Sigma 150-500 used is in budget Dave but I'm not sure if I'd be quick enough for f1

Or a sigma 120-400 is less than £500 used. Maybe someone could advise if they're any good as I have no idea....
