Hey all,
So I'm off traveling for a couple of years this June and was hoping to pick up a decent zoom lens with macro capability before I go. Does anyone know of anything other than the rare-ish Nikkor 70-180 macro that might fit the bill? I have no budget in mind, just seeing what's out there
I'm taking a few light weight lenses as well (in sig) and am happy with performance to weight/cost ratio of these but this one might need to be a bit special, I don't want to buy something crappy just to keep it light. I'm thinking this one might stay in the rucksack for when I need it rather than hoikeing it about on the camera.
I'm also thinking of trading my 70-300 AF-S for a 28-300 AF-S as I think it'll be more useful - thoughts? I'm worried the distortion will make me sad
edit: Oh yeah, if I did so this I might trade the 18-35 for a Nikkor 20mm Prime and keep the 50 as it's the f1.4 G version 
Any thoughts are much appreciated!
