I just purchased the Seestar S50 the other day and have been watching loads of Youtube videos on it.

This is my first time maybe having a go at imaging and I know the Seestar does a lot of the hard work for you but I have seen in just about every video that the image can be improved on a PC using certain programs now to someone who is completely useless on computers it all seems very confusing to me. Is there any where I can get a step by step easy to follow tutorial on getting the pics from the Seestar to the PC and then improving the picture etc in very very easy to follow steps.‍

Many thanks in advance.

As far as I can tell the output is in the FITS file format (flexible image transport system) which requires something more specialised than the standard post processing software to work on. It's a specialized scientific format that is even more lossless and uncompressed than raw and is guaranteed backwards compatible, but commonly used in astro imaging cameras. You may be able to find software to covert to a format you can process (TIFF or some other lossless format - never Jpeg). Tutorials - sorry haven't a clue. Again as far as I can see this is one of those electronic scopes that takes multiple images and stacks them for you into one 'wow' image. It appears (you can tell I know a lot about these things - not!) you can download the stacked image or individual frames to stack yourself. Integrating and processing individual subs isn't easy even on dedicated software so if you do work out the how, stick with playing with the stacked (integrated) image for now.
