    Last game of the season

Last match of the season on Saturday, the Scottish Cup Final between two unfancied teams Inverness CT and Falkirk. Actually looking forward to it if truth be told. Hopefully the celebrations are more enthusiastic than Celtic Park at the weekend when the league trophy was presentation, never felt...

    Cricket postioning

There is a similar system, guidance can be found at http://www.ecb.co.uk/ecb/ecb-media-accreditation. As an aside, it's probably the biggest media pass I have - but at least I haven't lost one...yet.

User Name - What's The history?

What (Canon)body to you shoot with?

I'm poor so it's 1D mk2 and mk3 (both bomb proof) and a battered old 40D held together with duct tape for me :)

    Poor Parking...

Mrs B who is disabled went into KFC in Cumbernauld and came out to find a wagon parked across the disabled bays blocking her in and the driver was nowhere to be seen. The ignorant pr!ck of a driver couldn't care less when he returned after about 20 minutes and the company didn't give a toss when...

    Dear postie.........

You should see a Great Dane choking on them, and then the £175 bill to get it removed from her throat. Aye hardly a major issue - put it this way our postie hasn't dropped a single one since.

    Getty/ Free Pics

Is this a sign of things to come - Getty/ Free Pics on the Mail Online. It would be interesting to hear the thoughts of the individuals who submitted the images- for example, whether they get any payment for the use of the images, if none what's in it for them...

Sigma 300mm f2.8 EX APO HSM for sports

I'm now using a Canon 300mm f2.8 L and it's not that much slower to be honest, it does tend to search a bit in lower light but it has coped well with some pretty awful ice hockey arena lighting. You won't miss too much once you know it's limitation and work to it's strengths.

Sigma 300mm f2.8 EX APO HSM for sports

I used it for about two years before I dropped it and it snapped in two. A great and very versatile lens that was used for everything from rugby - football - cycling - cricket - ice hockey and so on. Focus was slow (but not too bad) so you will probably miss a few shots, just be aware of its...

What sports are YOU shooting this weekend?

Heard Getty had 5 (inc. one AFP) photographers at Newcastle today? Surely not...

    Becoming A Club Photographer

Dataco just deal with the SPFL fixtures. All clubs sort out accreditation, even in the Premier(ship). Some such as Motherwell are pretty strict (http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/tickets-travel/press-media/), Celtic is nigh on impossible even with a press card. Others such as Partick Thistle, Hibs...

    Becoming A Club Photographer

Slightly different up here in Scotland where we don't have licences and accreditation is at the discretion of the clubs. I shoot for Clyde (not as often as I would like this season) providing images for the website and programme, however, I retain copyright and supply photos to local media...
