Who knows anything about DSLR video filming?

The best tutorial I've ever watched that taught me a lot of the basics was a video that Philip Bloom made quite a few years ago with f-stop academy.. it taught me so much about exposure, the shutter speed & how to use ND filters. I'm not sure it's on YouTube. I think i 'downloaded' it from...

    First "propper" lens, 17-55 f2.8 or 24-70 f4 L

The only lens that'll tempt me away from my 17-55 is a Sigma 18-35 1.8, I hired one of these for natural light/no flash shots at a family wedding & a birthday party. The results I got even a f1.8 were amazing. Such an underrated lens!!

    First "propper" lens, 17-55 f2.8 or 24-70 f4 L

Ok I'll give you my opinion as I've owned both on a 7D. Yes the 24-70 L is a brilliant lens, but I found myself having to keep taking steps back to get everything into frame at 24mm. So in the end i hired a 17-55 and gave that a try & loved it. I take mostly pictures of my boy, friends &...

    Aston Hill May 30th

Thank you. The camera was set to AI Servo and the focusing wasn't great. But since adjusting the micro focusing the next outing should get me some more keepers!

    Aston Hill May 30th

Been a very long time since I've been out with the camera, but a recent trip to Aston Hill Bike Park got my snapping away! First time out doing sports with my 7D2, I need to do some micro adjustments to the focusing as it's not quite getting spot on sharp images. Anyway, all were taken on my...

    HD Drones etc

Can't rate these guys enough http://www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/ A friend of mine bought an iris+ from them & got a great service. But something that he found was this, don't expect to get perfect results first time. It took him a few months of playing around to start nailing the shots he...

    GO PRO BATTERIES

Certainly do. The old blackberry ones charge my HD hero as they're both small USB.

    GO PRO BATTERIES

I, and others who have GoPro use the old type Blackberry wall charger. Has all the same outputs as the genuine GoPro ones and can be bought for literally next to nothing.

    Canon wide angle lens.

There's a few options for your camera. Depends on your budget. There's: Canon 10-22mm Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 Tamron 10-24mm Tokina 11-16 f 2.8 (There's prob more that I've missed) All are good lenses. I've hired a Canon 10-22 and loved it. Will be buying one in the new year.
