If wildlife is your thing then the D500 is a great choice. I was out with it testing the Nikon 200-500 yesterday and the C-AF really impressed me with birds at the local lake. It was a really dull day and upto ISO 8000 was reasonable.

I've been aware of Bruce Percy's work for a long time since I worked selling landscapes in Scotland back in 2010. I agree the tones in his images are stunning.
Joe Cornish was one I considered from my memories of his work but upon viewing again if I'm honest I find his images a little mundane...
It's so subjective. Especially as white balance played a large role and apart from the studio test, was left on auto.
If the Canon was left on auto white balance in the studio it would have had a fit.
I love these guys videos though.

The X100 series are great cameras. I love my X100T and for nearly a year it was the only camera I used. The leaf shutter, flash and built in ND filter mean it can shoot in virtually any light.
As others have said, if you're sticking with zooms and want to notice the weight savings over your Nikon gear while retaining good IQ then the 3 lens setup of 10-24mm, 18-55mm and 55-200mm is perfect. I was always surprised just how good the 55-200mm was for a lens of its price and size.
