Good call!
The play is between the zoom ring and the rear casing.
I can move it back and forth about 1mm. The screws which look like they hold this together are extremely small, and on very close inspection I've spotted one of the four I can see is missing!
So next question is, where...
Hi,
I have an 80-200 F2.8 AFS and I am getting fantastic results from it.
However there is a very small amount of movement/play in the outer casing(as if something is starting to work itself loose) and I wanted to check if this is "normal" or if it needs addressed/serviced.
All other...
Yor 450D has a (1.6) crop sensor so the 18 - 55 is effectively 29-88mm
The 24mm is suited to Full frame sensors, so to get the equivilent you would need a 15mm EF-S lens (15 x 1.6 = 24). Hope this helps :)
Hi Puddleduck,
Your saying the 50-150 wont be any faster, but will it be any slower, which is my main concern? I'm currently very happy with the performance of the 80-200 and I'd need the same level of performance for the 50-150.
Thanks,
Andy
That's interesting that its quicker than than the 70-200mm. I'd already ruled the 70-200 out as pretty close to what I've got (heavy!). I'd just keep my 80-200.
I'd also be using it on a pro body so the extra power would help with driving the AF motor.
Hi,
I currently have a Nikon 80-200 F2.8 AF-S.
Thinking about buying a Sigma 50-150 F2.8 as I use mostly the 100-140 range.
Does anyone use this lens for doing sport work, mainly running and cycling?
I normally do events with 200 - 500 runners and generally pick a spot and then...
Thanks Dfhaii.
Its a long long time since I used it all, but seem to recall that one of the three had to be used with a short time frame, so that'll be the fix!!
Some of the bottles have lost thier shape (collasped slightly inward).... I'm guessing even though these are unopened, are...
Hi,
I've looked out all my darkroom kit which has been stowed away for around 15 years!!
There's quite a few bottles of unopened developer, fix and stop.
Anyone know if these are useable or should they go straight in the bin?
Same goes for paper, is this any good for say doing some...
Seems quite expensive. I bought mine off this forum for £750. Very pleased with it.
S/H 70-200 VR F2.8 is around that price, if that is what you are prepared to spend.
Hi,
I'm looking to buy one of these and prices seem to range from £319 to £399.
I think Jessops where doing them for £329 less £20 online discount if you entered some sort of discount code = £309? Anyone clarify this and what is the code?
Or can anyone recommend a reputable dealer...
Having used both, you can't go wrong with either really.
I chose the D3 root, as I was annoyed with the 1D crop (1.3) not making the most of my wide angle lens.
Nikon's ability to use DX lenses on FX cameras is a nice little bonus (if you need to shoot crop). The D3 handles ISO noise levels...
