    Canon 70D & Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0 L IS USM

I can still hear the AF noise with the Videomic Pro but it's much better than before, so I'm not too bothered.

    Canon 70D & Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0 L IS USM

Are you sure I wouldn't hear the autofocus with that sat on the top of my camera?

    Canon 70D & Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0 L IS USM

If it's for family stuff then I'd get the 18-135mm STM. I have that and a Canon 17-55 2.8 and the focusing noise on video is really annoying, so I try to use the 18-135 when in video mode or I turn the AF off on the lens and manually focus when I don't have time to change lenses. When looking...

Can't copy Internal HDD to External HDD

It looks like the internal 1.5tb hard drive was faulty. Windows said it was about to break and that I needed to backup my files, so I did. I think the damage may have been caused by power cuts (we've had quite a few lately). I now have everything backed up to the 3tb drive that I fitted inside...

Can't copy Internal HDD to External HDD

I'm trying to copy 1tb of data from an internal drive to an external 3tb USB 2.0 one. I've done it before but now it just stops when it get to a certain file. I downloaded the free version of Macrium Reflect to try and clone the drive but all I get is "The target disk has an incompatible sector...

    Back-up and storage?

Ah right, I think i'll stick to my original plan then, but maybe keep a copy of everything at my sisters house. I have around 700gb of family photos and video, so I think i'll keep the Icy Dock here and use an external USB hard drive for my sisters house. It terrible to think that most people I...

    Back-up and storage?

Thanks for the detailed reply Duncan. but, oh my god, it sounds so complicated. So to start with, should I buy a HP microserver (got any recomendations?) a couple of hard drives and download Windows Server 2012? Do I plug the server into the router or can it run wireless? I know absolutely...

    Back-up and storage?

I've decided that it's about time I had a half decent back-up solution, rather than just transferring stuff from one drive to another manually. I don't really know much about this subject but assume I want a Raid enclosure with a couple of hard drives, set-up to Raid 1 (mirroring)? I like the...
