This was my first time shooting an air show - I usually take pictures of slow moving airliners! I was handholding a 150-600mm all day, in the cold, and trying to shoot at the lower shutter speeds for the prop aircraft was a nightmare. I'll definitely be investing in a monopod for the next lot of...
This is my first use of the 150-600mm, and my first attempt at getting a decent moon shot. I got lucky with a few breaks in the cloud - don't think it came out too bad for a first-timer!

The only increase on the D7200 comes from using the 1.3x crop mode - this gets you from 6 to 7fps.
I have the battery grip on mine, if only for comfort. I still need to buy a second battery to put in the camera!
Hi all. I'm currently on holiday in Japan and it looks like I can get about 13% off in Yodobashi camera by paying on a Visa card and flashing my passport. It seems I can get the D7200 body + Nikon grip for just a shade over £700, or a D7100 body with grip for about £570z
I'm currently rocking a...
Thanks again. I still feel like I have no idea what to look for so backgrounds are taking a back seat still. I'm not "spraying" in the hope of getting a shot but I'm still lacking that foresight to capture what I want - luckily, some nicer shots like above are coming out.

Thanks - I'd completely forgotten lens correction too. This and CA now sorted. I'm attempting to upload this and the B&W but Flickr won't seem to verify the images for some reason. I'll...
So I know the framing isn't quite there, but I'm happy for any further critique on this picture of a thoughtful 2 year old.

Hey all,
Only very recently taken up photography and I adore aircraft so I'm hoping to build up a nice collection of shots. I just picked up my first tele today (the Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6) and it would be rude not to have gone straight to an airport to take some pics! Comments and critiques...
D4S, the "Holy Trinity" of 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200 f/2.8 lenses. Add in a couple of primes (35, 50, 85 f/1.4) and with the rest it would be various bits of lighting and camera bag!
