    Cheap 'Holdfast' Style Harness

I have a fantastic double harness made to my specification by a saddler in southport. In my opinion far better quality than the moneymaker ,all hand stitched with not one rivet and cost me under £100. I wore it at a wedding for almost 15 hours carrying 2 x D800 with 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8 ...

    Dual Straps - Which One?

Ok that video has reassured me a little. I will probably hold onto my optec has for awhile but for me having the weight of a 70-200 straining the lens mount could be an issue. Using the tripod mount on the lens seems to provide a more balanced suspension if you know what I mean. As a foot note...

    Dual Straps - Which One?

Having looked at videos of the moneymaker dual strap I'm having a saddler make me a variant one to my spec. His work looks amazing and only uses top quality leather. I reckon it will be half the cost of the moneymaker but I will have to buy 1/4" lugs/D rings for the cameras. I'm opting for...

    Three Queens in Liverpool 2015

I'm thinking of going down to take a few shots. My plan was to get there early by parking away and walking to whatever view point I choose. Set up and then just chill and wait. Was thinking about perch rock light house. Any one else?

Mixing Manual off camera and TTL on camera flash.

I've been playing around with a couple of wireless triggers, calumets own. The wireless does NOT have TTL transfer but does have TTL pass through on the sender to the on camera flash. Question: I want to speed up recycle time on my on camera flash by using an additional couple of off camera...

    Deer in Dunham Massey Park

I did have it a bit lighter but the Autumn leaves on the ground did not show as vivid and the tips of the antlers seemed to blow out. I need a faster computer as I am finding loading the files takes forever. Thanks for the comments guys

    RAW or JPEG for weddings?

Raw or Jpeg ? Auto ISO or not ? Program or Manual ? The same questions arise all the time and I think its down to competence. Its been a long time since I have done weddings in fact the last wedding I shot was on film. I had no choice of output apart from film speed governed by the light...

    Nikon D800......

Thanks George, will look into getting one. I noticed on eBay a sale of grip with 2x " decoded batteries" and thought it was a bit iffy.

    Nikon D800......

a bit late to the party but having only recently aquired my D800 I have just updated the firmware so as to assign the record button to ISO. I have read that some are having problems with 3rd party grips after update of firmware. Can anyone tell me what grip they have if it is still working after...
