Went to the local airshow at the weekend and got some nice shots but I wanted to try something a bit different.

Dianne was asked to be a MUA's model for her advanced makeup and styling, and I was asked to do the photography.

I overdone the skin smoothing to suit the theme, trying to work out how make the skin sparkle in keeping with the movie.

7 exposures were used to create this sunset.

Just to the right of the path is Knapps Loch which I was walking around to photograph the sunset that would be reflected on it in about 40min but I had to stop and take this shot when I saw it, with the light and shadow and the pathway leading you in and a decent sky.

I'm no expert at night photography though I do know how difficult it is but I think this is a cracking image, the exposure, colour balance and lighting are spot on.

I was camping at Loch Lubnaig and I scouted some areas I would visit again with my camera, I came across this scene and how I thought it would look at sunrise, so next morning I was waiting at 6am and everything was blue and the sun rose way over to left, I still got some nice shots, just not...

As said I now understand the light position better re the catch lights. As shadows go every photographer has their own thoughts many like using shadows to various degrees and many don't like any shadows at all. I don't think there is a right or wrong just a choice. I personally like a little...

I like the milky water in the first two, the third is correctly exposed but the water has lost all of its sense of movement with the longer exposure.

Thanks for the comments, I had to look at the image again to understand your comments regarding key light position but I get it now and will put it into practice next time. I created the background in photoshop.

Hi all I shoot a lot of landscapes, my current camera is the Sony A77 and my main two lenses are the Sigma 18-125mm and Sigma 24mm prime but I was thinking of the Sigma 10-20mm or something similar. Would this be a good choice for landscapes and do you use one?
