    Frog shots

Definitely #3 for me - can't really say why - I think it might just be a nicer "balance" in terms of photo framing. All shots have good focus in the eye, and are all well lit, so no technical complaints on any! Nice set.

    Stonehenge fire garden

Really like #1 - good composition, and excellent lighting. #4 is just too bright for me and doesn't really do it for me. #2 & #3 are really good lighting wise, but I don't really like the composition I'm afraid - it's all a bit too central for my liking. All in, I think it's some really good...

    Oulton Park Ultimate Classic Cars

Right - I think #1 will always be a bit of a marmite, and I think that gives away enough of my opinion... I see what you're trying to do, but can't say I like it much. I like #6, but I'm not too keen on the rest - for me, I don't think the framing is quite right - the RR is a bit too much of...

    Harris Hawk

Works for me too - definitely no crop needed IMO!

    In the garden

Lol - just showed the two pics to my missus, saying I couldn't understand as the heads were both perfectly aligned, but she spotted that your son's not quite central horizontally - maybe that's it

    In the garden

Love the last shot! The first is also a really nice shot, with really good framing by the ropes of the swing! The second shot is really sharp, and well focused, but... Dunno really - can't quite put my finger on it, but I think it's the framing - there seems a little too much space at the top...

    Had a try

The 2nd one is the best of the crop for me. However, I'm afraid there's more bad than good for me: * I don't think the pose really works for me on the 1st * I think the lighting on the second is just too dark for me around the left eye * I don't like the hand being cut off on the second either...

    Shard and Butlers Wharf

Lol - for me, the opposite! I like the cool first as the background is exactly that - I think the cool processing acts to flatten the image, however, for the same reason, I think sepia works best for the buildings, as it serves to accentuate the architecture... Well, that's my 2p, but as they...

    Sunglasses shoot soon Advice needed!

Not my field, but so you don't feel quite so alone, the only (very stereotypical) shot I know is the "reflected" shot - pick a pretty landmark, and reflect it in the lenses - does kinda take the emphasis from the glasses though - Is this with models, or just the glasses?

    First off camera flash rig

I think the lighting looks good (although I must admit, I'm hardly an expert!), especially on the first photo. I'm not convinced that the lighting fits the pose for the second shot, and I'm also not a big fan of your non-straight horizon. That said, if this is your first go at off-camera...

    The Forgotten Clip BIGGER VERSION

Nice shot - good spot, and good lighting. Just a few minor things: 1) the dof is too shallow IMO - the clip isn't all in focus, and given how far away the (very good) background is, couldn't you have gone a little deeper? 2) personal pet peeve - too central - if you could have just pushed it...

    Black Swans

Sorry - saw your bump, but haven't been at my computer since... As no one else has responded here's the iPhone version of crit... All nice shots (at least on my iPhone...) pictures all look crystal sharp. My favourites are 3&4, but all are good. Minor niggle is that number 2 is a bit too...

M40 Water Tower - help with setting please :)

I have the 350d, and I always have to correct the temperature in my shots - that's why I shoot in raw - it used to eat memory cards, but then I just got bigger memory cards!
