sk66, I'll have to rage another run at your explanation tomorrow and see if I can get my head around it. Thanks though, from what I can tell it sounds like the same issue.
No, just one card, as a follow up... I got some images printed and the banding didn't show up in the prints so just an issue with how the files are displayed it seems....
Thanks retrosi, I didn't see your post until now. I ended up going with foto.com as I wasn't sure whether the prints would look very good after upscaling and didn't want to spend a lot on them. Can't recommend them highly enough. Each 50x75 print on Fuji crystal archive photo paper was £9.99 but...
If it's just individual portraits then the Gemini 200 set would probably be powerful enough. For the sake of reliability it might be more valuable to have a spare flash tube to have than more powerful lights.
I'm wondering if there is a bit of light coloured card on the surface under/behind the glass? Similar to the glass of beer example from light science and magic.
I can't find it on the Magnum site anymore as they were only on sale for a limited period and it finished last night. However I found a link to the image elsewhere. It ties into my sentiments surrounding Christmas quite well I think!
Just wondered if anyone else had picked one up? I just ordered myself a nice wee Bruce Gilden one. Looking forward to hanging it somewhere my girlfriend will have to look at it :)
From my perspective that is at the very simplistic (albeit very useful) end of understanding ISL, there wouldn't be any point in making a video at that level because there are already plenty of resources to cover it. I'd find it nice to see a more technical explanation with all the relevant...
As Xray said, if you can, go for a used SB 600. The Nissin Di622 mk2 is quite good for the money too. The Yongnuo YN622n TTL triggers can be had for about £45-50 a set and I've found mine to be very reliable when i've had cause to use them.
Assuming you mean you want to soften the onboard flash... Tape a little bit of card wrapped in tinfoil in front of the onboard flash at about 45deg so the light is bounced up and doesn't leak forward. Pretty basic but it should do to give you some softer bounced light if you are indoors...
Yes exporting with sRGB profile, I might give that a go next time I'm exporting.
The problem occurs when I look at the pictures on my desktop after opening through the windows picture viewer, but if I open the exported image back up in lightroom it looks fine (as in the actual output file...
I'm intrigued, how many of you have actually read the paper? It's here for anyone that is desperate to talk about it but actually never bothered to read it. http://www.cream-migration.org/files/FiscalEJ.pdf
Let's call it misrepresenting the truth then. Politicians aren't allowed to lie either... no wait... umm.
Islington is a high value area so inevitably they still have some housing stock in high rent areas although they don't have enough housing stock to cover their requirements. The council...
