Will there be a spreadsheet like last year to add our names too?

Having got my 1st DSLR in Feb last year, I decided this would be cool to do but by August I'd failed to keep it going, so this year I'm going to give it another shot from the beginning. Count me in.

Ok Here's mine I was at the biggest event of the year on the oval racing calender for the whole weekend, and got loads of pics, better ones on the Sunday but this one from Saturday I like for the lighting and the capture of the drivers' eyes.

The first of your edits is spot on. This screams bright and the light along his arm, face and bottom of the glasses really stands out now. Perfect for the theme. The blown sky is acceptable as all the books and magazines tell us to expose for the subject, unless you are after a silhouette...

For me it's #6. A super sharp image that's brilliantly captured especially as it's only the kit lens (just goes to show how good this lens really is). Others have said it doesn't really scream bright but imho I think it fits the theme very well due to the light reflecting off of the water...

Here is the shot with no torchlight and I've also given it an antique look, as it is an original U.S. officers uniform from WW2. What do you think of this one? Personally I don't think it fits the theme as well, I still like the original.

Hi Dawn. I know what you mean about the wrinkles. The buttons are done up to try to keep the jacket as flat as possible & it is still actually on the hanger although it is laid down. I had contemplated hanging it up but it was very awkward to get the shot upwards.

The setup was a daylight lamp from above right shooting through a white umbrella, with the torch for emphasis. The torch is a pocket maglite, the smallest torch I have, and even reducing the beam it still wasn't quite small enough as you rightly say. I took a number of shots so do have one...
