Fun at the seaside!

Well, the forecast proved correct today for the South Gare breakwater! 14ft swell, 35mph + winds & big waves!

I got a little close to the action at times, but that's all part of the fun of it for me

All 3 shots taken on a pair of 50D's using both 55-250mm & 24-105L. Both cameras at ISO100, f9-f11, 1/800sec

Thanks John. I think the oversharpening may be down to Flikr as the original resized for web sharp doesn't look as sharp as that

Wowzers I keep seeing these incredible wave shots in these forums!
The are fantastic, and whilst the second does appear to be a little oversharp, uploading does weird things to images sometimes.
Great set.

Of the set no.2 is my fave...I think 3 is a little to far zoomed in and doesn't give the same impact of scale as 1&2.

Both 2 & 3 are my choices, seems like too much in the frame on no 1 (the wave breaking). Doesn't look too sharp too me - think its just the white of the water - merging into the clouds! If it was bright blue skies then that would have been an awesome contrast. Very good captures though.
