I am very new to photgraphy and only started very recently, I dont get out to take snaps as much as i would like but i am feeling brave and opening myself up to advise.
These are some of my better shots with minimal editing done, Just would like to know what people think and how i can improve, All taken with the Canon 500D kit lenses,
Let me know what you think.

My dog Shelby on a day out just after i got the camera

I think you have done rather well, you got down for a lower view point which is good, the only critique would be I think you missed focus in the 5th, looks like the nose is in rather than the eyes, and the first three may have benefited using the rule of thirds.

Thanks Happygolucky, at the time of taking these i had not heard of the rule of thirds, i have since learnt this very valuable technique.

duttytd, he snores like a human too.

i quite like the focus on the nose for that one ... all very nice though
