Excuse the poor quality i wasn't taking photos from that direction at the time (heard the crunch and turned around). Cool Sparks *** !

Since I put this on my Flickr a few days ago I thought I'd add it here. Got nearly 20 shots of the whole incident, was very lucky not to roll!

Sliding wide on a deceptive right hander. I left the camera on a tree stump and asked a stranger to keep an eye on it so I could go and help extract him! Took about 20 odd of us around 20 minutes to half an hour to get him back up a very steep bank, bouncing it around a big tree stump back onto the track!
Hell of an effort from everyone involved and very satisfying to see him going. Fortunately it only seemed to be cosmetic damage to the car, forum member EddCope has half the front bumper in his shed at home!

The two little figures in the background were me showing one of our lady moderators round Mallory Park for the first time! Lots of the Corvette debris landed behind the fence where shed been photographing from a few seconds earlier. It was a surprisingly big one!
The tank came out and there was fuel everywhere and I had just taken two steps to help the one old marshal in the marshals post get the poor ******* out of there when, as so often happens, the poor *******s adrenaline got him straight out the wreckage and standing on the grass!
FWIW this is [a snapshot of] what he took home about £20 or £30,000 lighter!!
