I saw that on the news earlier this evening, it's awe inspiring.

Pity the poor bugger who had to climb up the ladder to take it though.

Seriously though, I must say it does look pretty........Amazing to think its completely covered...
 
This image was taken by one of NASA's satellites yesterday. Pretty impressive if you ask me. It's also a good illustration of how bloody cold it is at the moment. The water has been frozen in our pipes for the past 2 days so no showers, brews or dishwasher. Crumbs.

The cool thing is that you can actually see where the cities are, slightly greyer colour.
 
That is possibly one of the most awesome looking images iv seen.
I love it! Looks like one ginormous sheet.

And you dont have to blame the cold for lack of showering ;):p

saw it on the news last night, my first thought is that it looked like the images from 'day after tomorrow'

the entire uk is completely white apart from the northwest of anglesey and ireland.


the high res image is really interesting, as above you can make out the main areas of pupulation as they are slightly grey.
